UN: Russia has Committed War Crimes in Ukraine

Russian soldiers have committed war crimes in Ukraine, raping and torturing victims aged four to 82, the New York Times reports.  The three-person commission set to investigate the region in April hasn’t considered the violations crimes against humanity yet. The findings were based on visits to 27 towns with interviews of over 150 witnesses, writes reporter Nick Cumming-Bruce. Aa mass burial site found near Izium in eastern Ukraine after Ukrainian forces recaptured it this month was found to contain over 400 individuals, including women and children. Some of the remains showed signs of torture.
