Teen Charged with Attempted Murder After Shooting NYPD Officer

A 16-year-old has been charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon after allegedly firing several shots and wounding an NYPD officer patrolling an unmarked police vehicle in the Bronx, Ali Bauman reports for CBS News. Police are searching for two other suspects.

After the shooting, a separate gunfire incident occurred feet away from the incident, but no one was injured in that exchange. The injured officer is home from the hospital and is recovering.
