Idaho Chief Justice Demands Legislative Action on Threats to Judges Statewide

Idaho Supreme Court Chief Justice Richard Bevan, has called on lawmakers to take action in response to what he says is a growing threat of violence against judges in the state, James Dawson reports for Boise State Public Radio News. From doxing and protesting in Idaho to attacks in other states, Chief Justice Bevan said that threats to judges and court officials is a serious problem that needs to be addressed.

The speech did not include specific action steps, but highlighted some existing issues and noted the difficulty of attracting new potential judges due to a polarized political environment and disproportionately low wages compared to private sector attorneys.
