Former 911 Dispatcher Charged For Arson Spree
A volunteer fire department admin and former Ohio 911 dispatcher has been charged for allegedly setting at least 17 fires, potentially in an effort to inflate the work of the volunteer fire department where he worked. In an interview with officers, James Bartel allegedly admitted to setting 24 fires to “give the boys something to do” and distract himself. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in January.
