After Reversed Conviction, Denver Man Re-Sentenced To 96 Years

After Denver man, Ray Ojeda, 51 was sentenced in 2015 to 144 years in prison for attempted murder, sexual assault and kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl 25 years ago, an appeal reversed the conviction. But on Monday, the district attorney’s office reached a plea deal in a new case on the crime sentencing Ojeda to 96 years Collen Flynn reports for KDVR.

“I am extremely proud that, despite the prior reversal of the conviction, our Cold Case Unit persisted in its prosecution of Ojeda for these brutally violent crimes,” said District Attorney Beth McCann.
